Information collected as you browse Anobyte sites
In common with every website on the net, the Anobyte server knows and will record your computer's IP address and domain name and the web pages and files served to you. This information will be used by Anobyte to monitor and compile statistics on the usage of Anobyte web pages and file downloads. It is intended that this information is used to benefit Anobyte and end users. For example, errors caused by browsing for non-existent web pages (broken links) can be detected and repaired.
User forum
Users who want to contribute to the user forums must register. In order to register, you must provide us with a username (which does not have to be your real name), password and a valid e-mail address. This allows us to protect our community from abusive postings and provides a verifiable point of contact should legal questions arise. At any time, you have the ability to keep your e-mail address hidden from other users by selecting that option within your user profile.
When you register, you have the option of providing some additional information such as occupation, interests, and homepage URL. This optional information is made available to other bulletin or message board users to foster a sense of community. If you have any concerns about providing this information, simply leave the fields blank and your registration will still be processed.
Your IP address is recorded for any contributions you make to the forum and may be used to enforce any of the terms of the forum agreement agreed on registration.
The forum stores cookies on your PC. These do not contain personally identifiable information and are used only to improve your viewing pleasure.

Web Update Service
Anobyte uses a proprietary technology to operate its Web Update Service. This service behaves, in privacy terms, just as if you were browsing the Anobyte web server for the latest download. No additional software service is installed on your PC and the feature can only be used while the Anobyte application is running. Users can manually run the check or it can optionally be run automatically when the application starts. Disclosure to outside parties
Anobyte does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. Anobyte may release account information to (a) comply with law, (b) enforce or apply the terms of any of our user agreements or (c) protect the rights, property or safety of Anobyte and it's employees, our users, or others.
